Name of Study Seaton Trail Study
Brief Description The Seaton Trail Study purpose is two-fold: to complete a Seaton Trail Management Plan; and to establish a ‘Friends of the Seaton Trail’ volunteer group.

Status Assessment of the condition of the trail has been completed, needed improvements and some trail relocations identified.
A meeting with the public to identify potential ‘Friends of the Seaton Trail’ was held late in 2007.

This study is being undertaken by Oak Ridges Trail Association (ORTA), with Toronto Region Conservation Authority and City of Pickering as partners, and participation of Ontario Realty Corporation as owners and managers of the trail lands. This study is being funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

Timeline for project completion is Summer 2008. Final trail location must meet the requirements of the Provincial Seaton Natural Heritage System Management Plan and Master Trail Plan, whose results are also anticipated in Summer 2008.
