Development Charges Background Study will document
information justifying the amount of the Region’s
Development Charges for Regional water, sewers and
transit in the Seaton
community. A By-law is passed by Regional Council to
enact the charge. |

Study commencement is
awaiting information from the results of various studies
including: the Region of Durham Fiscal Impact Analysis;
the Seaton Master Environmental Servicing Plan; and the
Region of Durham’s Master Environmental Assessment for
Water, Sewers and Transportation.
The City of
Pickering is also required to prepare a Development
Charges Background Study and By-Law to identify the
City’s Development Charges for Seaton.
The Region has a Transit Development Charge for the
Region but it excludes Seaton.
The Region's 2008 Development Charge Study addresses
Regional water and sewer excluding Seaton. |
