During the month of
April the students of High Bush Public School
learned about RESPECT – Respect for environment, one
self, others and community. In celebration of
Pickering Earth Week, the initiative wrapped up on
April 22nd - Earth Day. The students invited
officials from the City of Pickering and Durham
District School Board to an assembly at which they
presented through singing, dancing, poetry, and
drama, what they had learned and initiatives they
had undertaken. Another exciting part included a
tour of their art exhibit that showcased what they
had learned. The light bulb depicts the students
names who had participated in the international
Earth Hour Challenge.
